The subtitle for this section is: "How did you ever get THAT grade???"
This guide is intended to provide a thorough understanding of a student's performance levels in all academic areas. The four-point scale represents the traditional "A" through "D" grades. If a student has not met minimum standards, an "NC, no credit given" or "INC, incomplete" is assigned. Teachers assign grades based upon student performance at each grade level.
Two other scales are used to measure progress. The Effort scale indicates a student's general effort in each academic area. The Attitude and Behavior scale indicates a student's overall attitude and relationships with peers and adults while in class. Student performance in these two areas are also represented on report cards with a four point scale.
We hope you will find this assessment guide informative. If you have any questions regarding the guide, please do not hesitate to call your child's teacher or school.
